Many, many, many books have been written throughout the centuries and they are all great in their own specific way. Some teach you faith, some teach you the sciences, some teach you history, etc. They all teach you lessons and ways for which you can grow intellectually and spiritually. One of the greatest books of all time for personal development and to help you succeed in life, business, whatever it may be, is The Greatest Salesman in the World by Og Mandino. Don’t be mislead by the title of the book, it can be used for self-growth in every aspect of your life, not just in sales.

I found this book randomly by someone mentioning it on the internet and it has changed my life. There are plenty of positive affirmations in the book and the book makes it easier for you to form good habits and reinforce positive thoughts, because of the way the author wants you to read it. This will lead to a change in your mind-frame and a change in your life.

The Greatest Salesman in the World was published in 1968 and has been translated in plenty of languages. The story is about a poor young camel boy named Hafid who achieves success and a life full of abundance by using 10 scrolls that he acquired. There are 10 scrolls in the book, and you, the reader, is supposed to read each scroll 3 times a day for 30 days. It takes 10 months to complete all of the scrolls (yes! it is a long time! But it is worth it!), but by reading these scrolls 3 times a day out loud or in your head, all of the negative thought processes you had built up in your mind through your lifetime starts to disintegrate.

A famous person who changed his life around by reading The Greatest Salesman in the World is Matthew McConaughey.  He told new! magazine: “The book’s a kind of philosophy on life. I started reading it right before I was due to take my exams for law school and I got so engrossed in it that I was almost late for my exam! But it was well worth it because that book changed my outlook on life and gave me the courage I needed to chase my dream of applying to film school.”

This is the greatest book of all time in order for personal growth and to rewire your thought processes, and it isn’t even expensive to buy. It costs about 10$ (the cost of a burger nowadays) on Amazon. You can pick it up here if you’d like The Greatest Salesman in the World. That was one of the best 10$ I’ve ever invested in my life!

To finish up, I’m going to leave you with a great positive affirmation from Scroll 3 in the book. So long as there is breath in me, that long I will persist. For now I know one of the greatest principles on success; if I persist long enough I will win.
